Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel peeled ripe tomatoes
    head garlic (chopped fine)
    2 c. oil
    3 lb. chopped onion
    4 chopped bell pepper
    1/2 c. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. oregano
    1 Tbsp. basil leaf (more if desired)
    3 (18 oz.) cans or 4 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
Preparation
    Put all ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil. Turn down and let simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Put in hot quart jars and seal.
