Old Smoothies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. dark brown sugar (packed)
1 c. granulated sugar
2/3 c. (1 small can) undiluted evaporated milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. coarsely chopped nuts
Preparation

Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar and milk.
Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat to 228\u00b0 (soft ball stage). Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts.
Beat until mixture begins to thicken and turn opaque, about 2 minutes.
Drop quickly in patty shape from tablespoon onto buttered cookie sheet.
Makes about 30.
