1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
1 1/2 c. hot water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 eggs, well beaten
ground nutmeg
Preparation

For a richly flavorful pie, choose pears at the peak of ripeness and spice them with freshly grated nutmeg.
Serve with unsweetened, lightly whipped cream.
