Ingredients

1 pt. molasses
1 lb. brown sugar
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. shortening
1 pt. buttermilk
2 eggs
4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 lb. chopped nuts
1 lb. raisins
2 1/2 lb. (approximately) plain flour (10 c.)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix all together until moistened and stiff.
Let stand overnight in the refrigerator.
Roll out and cut.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Glaze while still warm with powdered sugar glaze.
