Ingredients

3/4 c. Crisco
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. nuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Cream Crisco, sugar, milk, vanilla.
Add egg.
Combine flour, salt, and soda.
Add to creamed mixture.
Stir in nuts and chips.
Drop by rounded tablespoon, 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes for chewey or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies.
Makes about 3 dozen.
