Maude'S Tamale Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. cornmeal
1 c. milk
1 c. tomato juice
4 oz. salt pork, diced, sauteed and drained
a little garlic
1 large onion, chopped and sauteed
1 can corn (not creamed)
1 large can tomatoes
1/2 c. olive oil
1 c. black olives
salt
1 Tbsp. Spanish chili peppers (Gebhardt)
Preparation

Mix all together in a 2-quart casserole.
Bake, uncovered, 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours or until browned on top.
Can add a cup of diced, cooked chicken or beef (optional).
