Hamburger Corn Pone Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 can tomatoes (with juice)
    1 pkg. Jiffy corn meal mix
    1 can dark red kidney beans
Preparation
    Mix Jiffy mix according to directions.
    Brown meat and onion in 1 tablespoon shortening.
    Add seasonings and tomatoes.
    Cover and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
    Add 1 can dark red kidney beans.
    Pour meat mixture into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Top with corn bread batter.
    Spread with wet knife.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
