Onion Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 1/2 lb. round steak (3/4-inch thick)
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 (10 oz.) can condensed onion soup
    1/2 c. ketchup
    1 medium green pepper, cut in strips
Preparation
    Combine flour and seasonings; pound into steak.
    Cut steak into serving size pieces.
    In skillet, brown steak in shortening and pour off fat.
    Add soup and ketchup.
    Cover; cook over low heat 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Add green pepper; cook 15 minutes more until done.
    Stir occasionally.
    Makes 4 servings.
