Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt and cream of tartar
    1/3 c. butter
    1 egg, beaten
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Blend first 5 ingredients with pastry blender; cut in butter (will look like coarse crumbs).
    Mix egg and milk, then add to dough.
    Stir until forms soft dough.
    Knead until leaves sides of bowl.
    Turn dough on floured surface; knead 12 times.
    Pat in 8-inch round cake pan.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 18 minutes.
