Rosemary Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 lb.) chicken, cut up
    salt and pepper
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 Tbsp. butter
    4 garlic cloves
    1/2 tsp. rosemary
    1/4 c. dry white wine
    1/4 c. chicken broth
    cornstarch to thicken
Preparation
    Season chicken with salt and pepper.
    In large frying pan, heat oil and butter over medium heat.
    Add garlic cloves and cook 2 minutes without browning.
    Add chicken and cook, turning until lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
    Sprinkle with rosemary; add wine and chicken broth.
    Cover and cook over low heat, turning once, 30 minutes or until tender.
    Mix small amount of cornstarch with cold water.
    Remove chicken from skillet.
    Add cornstarch mixture and stir continuously over heat until gravy thickens. Return chicken to gravy and serve hot.
