Vegetable Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head lettuce
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1/4 c. chopped green onion or onion
    1/2 c. sliced green pepper
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    2 c. Miracle Whip (or less)
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    bacon bits
Preparation
    Layer first 6 ingredients in salad bowl.
    Use just enough salad dressing to cover last layer and seal in moisture.
    Let stand overnight covered in refrigerator.
    Just before serving, sprinkle with grated cheese and bacon bits.
