Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. milk
1 c. pecans
1 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. maraschino cherries
Preparation

Shape into balls and roll each ball in 2 1/2 cups crushed corn flakes.
Top each cookie with 1/2 cherry. Bake in oven at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes. Do not stack or store until cold.
Makes 5 dozen.
