7 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    2 c. frozen peas
    1/2 c. celery, cut up
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1/2 c. grated carrots
    2 c. mayonnaise
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 c. grated cheese
    1/4 lb. bacon
Preparation
    Clean and crisp lettuce. Tear into bite size pieces.
    Boil peas and cool.
    Layer first 5 ingredients in large cake pan in order given (lettuce, peas, celery, onion and carrots).
    Blend sugar and mayonnaise.
    Pour over lettuce. Garnish with cheese and bacon which has been fried crisp, drained and broken into small pieces.
    Let stand overnight.
