Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
Preparation
    Sift together flour, ginger, soda, cinnamon and salt.
    Cream shortening until soft.
    Beat in egg and molasses and gradually add sugar.
    Sift dry ingredients over creamed mixture; blend well. Form in small balls by rolling them tightly.
    Roll balls in granulated sugar.
    Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    If less spicy cookie is desired, use only 1 teaspoon ginger.
