Candy Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    15 cloves
    2/3 c. water
    2 tsp. red food coloring
    apples
Preparation
    Cook sugar, cream of tartar, lemon juice, cloves and water to 300\u00b0. Add food coloring. Dip apples.
