Corn Bread Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion
    1 small piece garlic
    1 can tomato soup
    2 c. water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. whole kernel corn
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1 c. cooked brown beans
    3/4 c. corn meal
    1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Saute beef, onion, garlic and green pepper until slightly brown.
    Add soup, water, salt, pepper, corn, beans and chili powder.
    Simmer 15 minutes.
    Place mixture in 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Combine remaining ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Spoon corn bread mixture over meat mixture.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 about 25 minutes. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
