Risdon'S Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 to 3/4 lb. seedless raisins, grind fine
    4 large egg whites
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    very little salt
Preparation
    Grind raisins and set them aside.
    Beat egg whites to a very stiff form, they will be ready for the boiling syrup.
    Add sugar and water and boil until it makes a string when tested. Then while beating egg whites, pour the syrup into them and beat until they are fluffy, about 2 minutes.
    Then add the raisins and vanilla and mix until all raisins are mixed in good.
    Put on white cake.
