Quick Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bacon
    2 celery stalks
    1 medium onion
    2 cans minced clams
    2 cans chopped clams
    1 carrot
    5 medium potatoes
    3/4 c. milk
    4 qt. water
    flour
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Chop bacon, celery and onion; saute until tender.
    Add clams with juice.
    Boil 15 minutes.
    Add water and bring to a boil.
    Add 4 diced potatoes; grate 1 potato and 1 carrot and add to boiling liquid.
    Cook until potatoes are done.
    Add milk.
    Thicken with flour and water mixture.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
