Christmas Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sifted flour
    2 sticks butter
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. brown sugar, packed in cup
    1 c. raisins
    2 eggs
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. pecans
    2 c. dates
    1 c. candied cherries
Preparation
    Sift flour; measure.
    Sift again with salt and soda.
    Cream butter.
    Add sugar and eggs.
    Beat until light and fluffy.
    Add milk alternately with flour.
    Add nuts and fruit.
    Chill.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
