Danish Apple Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg yolk and enough milk to make 2/3 c.
1 c. shortening
dash of salt
2/3 c. graham crackers, crushed
5 c. apples, sliced
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Mix well first 5 ingredients, then pat half of the dough into bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Cover with crushed graham crackers, then sliced apples.
Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples.
Roll out the rest of the dough; place over apples. Beat egg white until fluffy and brush on top of dough.
