Asparagus Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 c. coarsely crumbled saltines
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    2 c. hot milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    3 tsp. grated onion
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen asparagus cuts, cooked and drained
Preparation
    Line a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan with strip of aluminum foil. Butter well.
    Saute crackers in butter until golden brown.
    Combine eggs, milk, salt, pepper and onion.
    Add cooked asparagus and sauteed crackers.
    Pour into prepared pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
    Serve as is or with hot chicken gravy, hot cheese sauce or canned mushroom soup, diluted with 1/3 cup milk.
