Ingredients

2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. dates, chopped
1/2 lb. red cherries, cut
1/2 lb. green pineapple, slivered
1/2 lb. slivered almonds, toasted
1/2 lb. pecans, chopped
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, creamed well after each addition.
Combine flour, soda and salt. Add to butter mixture and to this add all the cut up fruit and nuts.
Drop batter from teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375\u00b0. (Do not overbake.)
Instead of dropping dough, a small piece may be pinched off and flattened with a fork.
