Chewy Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. (2 sq.) unsweetened chocolate
    1/3 c. shortening or oil
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt chocolate and fat together over low heat.
    Cool slightly. Mix sugar with eggs.
    Stir chocolate mixture into eggs gradually. Add vanilla.
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Stir in nuts.
    Add chocolate mixture.
    Spread batter in an 8-inch greased square pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes, or until crust is shiny and brownies begin to shrink from pan.
