Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups flour
    3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoons salt
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
    1 well beaten egg
    1 cup mashed banana
    1/4 cup can milk
    1/2 cup melted shortening
Preparation
    Mix baking powder, flour, salt and sugar.
    Mix beaten egg, mashed ripe bananas, can milk and melted shortening in a small bowl.
    Then add to flour mixture.
    Mix quickly, but thoroughly. Put in prepared pan (floured and greased).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until bread shrink from sides of pan about 50 minutes.
    Let stand five minutes before turning out.
    Cool on a wire rack.
