Boiled Custard - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 eggs, separated
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1/2 gal. sweet milk
orange peel (fresh torn in pieces)
Preparation

Mix egg yolks, salt and sugar in top of double boiler to blend, add milk.
Cook until spoon coats, do not boil.
Cool, add vanilla and stiffly beaten egg whites.
Add orange peel.
Chill over night.
