German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. potatoes
1 lb. diced bacon
1 level Tbsp. mustard (optional)
1 Tbsp. flour
1/2 c. vinegar
1 medium onion (diced)
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. water
Preparation

Wash potatoes (do not peel).
Cover with water and boil about 25 minutes, until tender.
Peel, cut in half and slice thin. Brown bacon in pan.
Remove bacon.
Saute onion in bacon fat until soft, not brown.
Stir in flour until smooth.
Add vinegar, water, salt, pepper and sugar.
Stir constantly until mixture boils and thickens slightly.
Remove from heat and add mustard, pour mixture over potatoes, add bacon.
Serve warm.
May be reheated.
