Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head cabbage, chopped
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    cornbread crumbs
Preparation
    Cook the first three ingredients in lightly salted water until tender.
    Drain.
    Melt butter in saucepan.
    Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Slowly add milk.
    Stir until thickened.
    Add cheese; blend until melted.
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0. Layer the drained cabbage mixture and cheese sauce in a greased casserole.
    Make several layers ending with sauce.
    Bake until bubbly.
    Top with crumbs.
    Return to oven until lightly browned.
