Christmas Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening (can be margarine)
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. honey
    2 eggs, beaten
    4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    6 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. finely chopped nuts
    1 c. candied fruit
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugars and honey and add eggs and vanilla; blend well.
    Alternate sifted dry ingredients and milk to creamed mixture.
    Dough is quite stiff; add nuts and candied fruit.
    Roll and cut.
    I usually refrigerate dough overnight for easier handling.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    May decorate if desired.
