Mark Twain'S Sweet Mince Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. brandy
    1/4 c. heavy cream
    1 1/2 c. mincemeat (from jar)
    2 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar.
    Add eggs, 1 at a time; beat well after each addition.
    Sift dry ingredients together; combine brandy and cream.
    Add dry ingredients and brandy-cream mixture alternately to margarine mixture, beginning and ending with dries. In a small bowl, combine mincemeat and 2 tablespoons flour until blended.
    Fold into batter.
    Spoon batter into greased and floured 9-inch tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes, until cake is golden brown.
    Cool in pan 10 minutes.
    Turn cake out onto dish.
