Frank'S Old Fashioned Parched Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 ears fresh corn-on-the-cob
    2 Tbsp. butter (early recipe used lard)
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cut fresh sweet corn off cob. Melt butter in frying pan and pour in some dry corn. Put a lid on and cook on top of the stove or put in the oven.
    Stir frequently and let it brown. Sprinkle with salt (pepper is optional).
    Corn should not be piled too thick.
    May repeat, using 1/2 the corn.
    Serve hot. Great while watching T.V.
    Will serve 4 to 6.
