Sugar-Free Cherry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked pie crust
    1 (1 lb.) can pitted tart red cherries in water
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    18 to 20 packets Equal sweetener
Preparation
    Mix 3/4 cup cherry juice with cornstarch and salt.
    Combine with cherries and cook until thickened, stirring often.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in margarine.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Stir in sweetener.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Serve with prepared whipped topping if desired.
