Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves

Preparation

Cream the shortening, brown sugar, egg and molasses until light and fluffy.
Sift together remaining ingredients and stir into molasses mixture until well blended.
Roll into small balls and roll in granulated sugar.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
