Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 oz. red food coloring
1 oz. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, food coloring and water.
Mix cocoa with flour and salt.
Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Mix well.
Add vanilla.
Pour vinegar over soda.
Stir into batter.
Bake at 325\u00b0 in 2 (9-inch) cake pans for 30 minutes.
