Dinner Bread Dough(Makes Nice Rolls Or Bread Sticks Or Two Loaves Of Bread.) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. lukewarm water
2 pkg. dry yeast (can use quick rise)
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/4 c. shortening
6 to 6 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Combine sugar, salt, water and melted shortening in a large bowl.
Add dry yeast and allow to dissolve while beating egg.
Add egg to this mixture.
Stir in flour and mix with hands until mixture is smooth.
Warmth from hands aids mixing and is \"friendly\" to the yeast.
Allow this to rise until double in bulk. Punch down, form into desired size rolls, bread sticks (in a bread stick pan) or loaves and let rise another hour.
Bake at 400\u00b0 until golden in well-greased pans.
Between 10 and 20 minutes, depending on whether you make rolls, sticks or loaves. Loaves will sound hollow when tapped when they are done.
