Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
3 large or 5 small very ripe bananas, mashed smooth
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar well.
Add 1 tablespoon of flour. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Add remaining flour.
Sift flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
Add along with nuts and banana pulp alternately.
Pour into well-greased bread loaf pan. Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
Makes good muffins, too.
