New England Clam Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 slices bacon
1 large potato, peeled and cubed
1 medium stalk celery, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. thyme
2 (8 oz. each) cans minced clams
1/4 c. flour
3 c. milk
Preparation

In large saucepan, cook bacon until crisp; remove from pan. To drippings, add potato, celery, onion, salt, pepper, thyme and liquid from clams.
Bring to boil and cook, covered, about 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Combine flour and milk; add to vegetable mixture.
