Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 c. yellow and zucchini squash (about the size of a half dollar)
    2 c. chopped onion
    2 large green peppers
    2 small jars pimientos
    6 tsp. salt
    3 1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. white vinegar
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Slice squash rather thin; sprinkle with salt and let stand overnight.
