Jalapeno Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    2 c. heavy cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    3/4 c. chopped, seeded jalapeno peppers
    3/4 c. cooked and crumbled bacon
    1 1/2 c. Gruyere cheese
    1 (9-inch) pie crust, baked
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Mix eggs, cream, salt, pepper and nutmeg together.
    Place peppers and bacon in the bottom of the pie crust. (Chorizo, ground pork, ham or other meat may be substituted for the bacon, if desired.)
    Cover peppers and bacon with cheese, then pour egg mixture over all.
    Bake for 40 minutes.
    Cool for 30 minutes.
