Dumplings For Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. butter
1/3 tsp. milk
Preparation

Mix and sift dry ingredients.
Work in butter with tips of fingers or cut in with 2 knives.
Add milk gradually.
Use more if necessary to make a soft dough.
Round bits of dough up on teaspoon and push on top of stew.
Quickly adjust cover and steam for about 12 minutes.
Do not open until the time is out or the dumplings will not be light.
