Onion Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 oz.) pkg. dry onion soup mix
    2 c. water
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 tsp. salt
    5 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, divided
    1 egg
Preparation
    Combine soup mix and 2 cups water in small saucepan; cook over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes.
    In small bowl, dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
    In large bowl, mix together the hot soup, sugar, oil and 2 cups flour.
    Beat well with electric mixer.
    Let cool to lukewarm.
    Add to the cooled mixture the yeast, egg and remaining flour to make a soft (not sticky) dough.
    Place dough in a well-greased bowl, turning to grease top.
