Ingredients

1 c. flour
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. anise seed
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. soft margarine
1/4 c. milk
sugar
Preparation

Combine first seven ingredients, mixing until able to form into dough.
Roll out on greased cookie sheet.
Cut into 2-inch squares. Sprinkle with sugar.
Prick with a fork.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes or until light golden brown.
Remove cookies from edge as they brown.
Continue to bake remainder.
