Chili Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c chopped onion
    2 tbsp butter
    3 cans cream of mushroom soup
    1 can 4 oz pimentos, chopped
    2 tbsp finely chopped pickled hot green chili peppers (remove stems and seeds)
    hot boiled egg noodles (16 oz uncooked)
    3 to 4 c diced cooked chicken
    pepper and salt to taste
    2 to 3 c grated sharp cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Saute onion in butter until yellow.
    Stir in soup, pimento and chili pepper.
    In buttered 4 qt or 2 two qt baking dish layer half of ingredients in this order:
    noodles, chicken, (sprinkle with salt and pepper), soup mixture and cheese. Repeat layers one more of each.
    Bake 45 min. 12 servings.
    You can substitute chicken with turkey.
