Pear Pickle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 lb. pears, peeled and sliced into wedges
    5 c. vinegar
    10 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. pickling spices
Preparation
    In large pot on low heat, cook vinegar and sugar.
    Add pickling spices.
    Be sure to stir so sugar won't stick to the pan. After sugar dissolves, you may turn heat up so it will begin boiling.
    After it starts boiling, reduce heat.
    Cook at least 2 or 2 1/2 hours real slow.
    Put in jars and seal.
    (Do not overcook.)
