Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can crushed pineapple in juice
    2 c. miniature marshmallows
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 Tbsp. white vinegar
    1 (8 or 9 oz.) carton Cool Whip
    2 c. unpeeled Jonathan or Granny Smith apples
    1 1/2 c. salted Spanish peanuts in skin
Preparation
    The night before serving, mix drained pineapple (save juice) with marshmallows.
    Let chill overnight in refrigerator.
    In small saucepan, add juice, sugar, flour, egg and vinegar; heat to boil. Cool; let stand overnight in refrigerator, too.
