Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 c. pumpkin
    1 2/3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. water
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (your choice)
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add the eggs and the pumpkin; beat thoroughly.
    Sift together dry ingredients, add to the creamed mixture in thirds with the water.
    Beat enough until the batter is smooth.
    Stir in nuts.
    Pour batter into greased and floured cans (4 smooth ones) or two loaf pans.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 35 minutes or until done.
    When baked (test with a toothpick) roll can and loosen, cake will come out easily.
