Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. light Karo syrup
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. pecan halves
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Combine butter, sugar and Karo; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
    Cool.
    Add beaten eggs, vanilla and salt.
    Blend well with beater.
    Remove from mixer and stir in pecans.
    Pour into unbaked pie shell.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
    Test for doneness.
    Center should be rather firm and spring back when touched.
