Ingredients

2 c. persimmon pulp
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
2 eggs
3 c. milk
1 tsp. soda
4 c. hot water
1/3 c. margarine, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ginger
Preparation

Cream the sugar and margarine.
Add eggs and persimmon pulp. Mix well. Dissolve soda in hot water and add to mixture. Add flour, then milk. Add vanilla, pinch of salt and spices (if desired).
Bake at 275\u00b0 for 1 hour and 45 minutes in a 9
x 13-inch pan.
