Carrot Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. butter
    3 eggs, separted
    1 c. grated carrots
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 c. walnuts
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. cake flour
    small bottle cherries
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks.
    Mix well.
    Add carrots, cherries and juice.
    Sift flour, soda and baking powder and add. Add nuts and egg whites, stiffly beaten.
    Bake for 50 minutes at 350\u00b0.
