Danish Apple Sliceslincoln, Nebraska - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. oleo or Crisco
    1 egg/milk
    5 c. sliced apples
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 3/4 c. corn flakes
Preparation
    Mix flour, 1 Tbsp. sugar and salt.
    Cut in oleo.
    Put egg yolk in a measuring cup and add enough milk to make 2/3 c.; mix.
    Add to first mixture.
    Mix like pie crust.
    Roll 1/2 dough for jelly roll pan.
    Put dough in pan, cover with corn flakes, then spread apples over flakes.
    Sprinkle with 1 1/4 c. sugar and cinnamon. Roll out top crust, place over apples and crinkle edges.
    Beat egg white stiff and spread over top crust.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
