France'S Nut Cake(Very Old Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 sticks oleo
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs, beaten well
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 qt. pecan halves, rolled in 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add beaten eggs and vanilla.
    Sift flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
    Add to creamed mixture. Add pecans.
    Pour into prepared 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    Cool 10 minutes in pan and remove.
